2017 Conference on the Environment

Living Local: Linking Local Economies and the Environment

Plans are now underway for the annual New York State Conference on the Environment, taking place in the beautiful City of Kingston, NY, on Friday & Saturday, November 17 & 18, 2017.  NYSACC and the New York State Association of Environmental Management Councils (NYSAEMC) have partnered with the City of Kingston to deliver this year’s event.
Registration begins October 1, 2017

 

CALL FOR Exhibitors: We are currently seeking individuals and groups who would like to showcase their work in front of environmental professionals and advocates from across New York State.  We welcome the following types of submissions on topics relevant to New York State:

  • Clean Transportation and Energy
  • Clean Food Economy 
  • Conservation Planning for Economic Development
  • Adaptation and Resilience 

Submissions may be sent to Julie Noble, Conference Coordinator, at JulieLNoble@kingston-ny.gov.  We will accept submissions through Oct 1, 2017, or until space is no longer available.

Scholarship Opportunity: Undergraduate and graduate students can submit the following application to receive a scholarship to attend the 2017 NYS Conference on the Environment. This scholarship will cover the conference registration fee, conference sessions, events and meals.

Student Scholarships: COE – Student Scholarship Application 2017

All active members of an affiliated New York State County Environmental Management Council and students are welcome to submit an application to receive a scholarship. Applicants may request up to $150 each.  NYSAEMC scholarship money may be applied to conference registration, events (field trips and meals) and hotel fees.
